Before I ever knew exactly where filmmaking would take me, I knew I saw things differently. I noticed moments, emotion, movement, people & small details. Things that could be hard to explain out loud but made perfect sense to me visually. That’s why before I ever called myself a director, cinematographer, editor, or business owner, I called myself a visual poet. Honestly, I still do. Being a visual poet, to me, is taking a feeling, an idea, somebody’s story, or something they may not know how to put into words & finding a way to make people see it. Film became the way I did that.

I’m originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, born & raised. I didn’t come into filmmaking through film school or some perfectly mapped out career path. I learned by doing. Picking up the camera, studying, shooting, editing, directing, making mistakes, trying again, working with different people, stepping onto different sets & getting better with every project. Over time, I realized these skills could help me tell stories in a lot of different spaces. They allow me to help businesses, brands, companies & organizations communicate visually, while also continuing to grow as a filmmaker & expand my experience within film, television & larger productions.

What I enjoy most is taking something that may only exist as an idea, message, emotion, brand, character, or story & figuring out how to translate it visually. I love that film can take me into so many different spaces, from working with businesses & brands to scripted work, television & larger productions. I don’t really see myself as somebody who belongs in only one lane.

Fendi Productions is primarily based in North Carolina, with work that has also taken me to Atlanta, Texas & other cities depending on the production. Over the last four years, what started as me simply wanting to create has grown into my own independent production company while opening the door to a much bigger journey in film.

That journey is still being written.
