Wardrobe Stylist

The Wardrobe Stylist defines the visual identity of our characters through clothing, costumes, and textures. You will turn script descriptions into wearable art that reflects a character's psychology, status, and background. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, deep knowledge of color, and the ability to source clothing creatively. We prioritize your creative eye, styling instincts, and on-set resourcefulness over formal fashion degrees.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze scripts to develop character-specific wardrobe concepts.

  • Source clothing, accessories, and fabrics through shopping, renting, or pulling from stock.

  • Manage the wardrobe budget efficiently to maximize production value.

  • Conduct wardrobe fittings with actors and execute necessary alterations.

  • Organize and label wardrobe continuity on set across shooting days.

  • Collaborate closely with the Director, Production Designer, and DP on color palettes.

  • Maintain care, cleaning, and returns of all wardrobe items post-shoot.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Portfolio or lookbook demonstrating strong styling, color coordination, and character building.

  • Experience styling for indie films, music videos, commercials, or creative photo shoots.

  • Knowledge of garment construction, sizing, fit, and quick on-set tailoring fixes.

  • Resourcefulness in stretching low budgets to create high-end or specific period looks.

  • Organization skills to track continuity and manage chaos in a fast-paced environment

  • Creative Alignment: Clear verbal skills to translate a director's abstract ideas into concrete clothing choices.

Production Environment

Production opportunities under Fendi Productions may include dramatic film productions, episodic storytelling, spec commercials, branded visuals, documentaries, fashion related content, real estate visuals, corporate and service based business campaigns, social media campaigns, and behind the scenes creative work. Most productions are based in Greensboro, North Carolina with additional travel opportunities depending on production needs, creative direction, and filming locations. Production schedules and filming days may vary depending on project scope, scene requirements, timelines, and location availability.
